The Chilean capital, Santiago, will host the Third Meeting of Presidents of Latin American Radiotherapy Societies, scheduled for May 2026. The date has not yet been confirmed, but the meeting is already considered a milestone for the development and integration of the specialty in the region.
Following previous editions in Rio de Janeiro (2023) and Huatulco, Mexico (2024), this will be the first meeting under the structure of the newly formalized SOLAR (Latin American Societies of Radiotherapy). Regional leaders are expected to discuss planned actions for education, training, and promoting the development of radiotherapy in Latin America.

The event will be organized by SOCHIRA (Chilean Society of Radiotherapy), led by its president, Dr. Hernán Letelier.
